Lisa Eaton Mitchell

Lisa Eaton Mitchell (65) was born on November 1, 1960 to the late David Louie & Patty Sue Eaton. She passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, after an unexpected illness.

Those who knew Lisa will remember her for her infectious smile and sense of humor, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her outgoing personality. She had a rare gift of making other smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Inviting and easy going, Lisa had a young-at-heart quality.

Lisa was a life-long member of Antioch Baptist Church and an employee at Northeast Mississippi Planning and Development District. She found joy in cooking for her family and attending Jumpertown Cardinals basketball games. Lisa enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She never turned down a good trip. Her love for the beach was matched only by her love for people; she was happiest when surrounded by those she cared for.

Lisa had a strong moral compass and was well liked by everyone, mostly due to her outgoing personality. She chose to live a life of service, like Christ modeled for us. She was a listening ear, a gentle guide, and a reassuring presence - not only to her husband and immediate family, but also to her extended family, her church and her friends.

Lisa is survived and missed by her husband, Randy; her daughters, Brittany and Shannon Phillips; her stepson, Kevin Mitchell; her grandchildren, Tristan Mitchell (Alana), Karleigh and Kassidy Mitchell and two great grandchildren. She will forever be cherished and remembered by her sister, Kathy Morrison (Wayne); her sister-in-law, Tammie Mitchell Brewer (Clay) and her brother-in-law, Tim Mitchell (April). Lisa is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, former classmates, and co-workers. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, and many more that she came into contact with.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Clovis & Helen Mitchell; and infant brother, David Louie Eaton, Jr. and her grandparents.

The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Lisa Mitchell will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. David George and Sharon Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church and 1-2 pm Sunday.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Antioch Baptist Church.

Lisa's spirit will continue to uplift and inspire us. May her memory be a blessing to us all.
