Sarah E. Brown

Sarah E. Brown (95) passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church in Guntown, where she served in the nursery for over 25 years.

She enjoyed camping, singing and cooking for friends and family. She was famous for her coconut cakes and fried pies. She loved playing washers and she won most of the time.

Services will be held at Unity Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 1 pm with Bro. Matt Pharr officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 am to 12 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Milbern Earl Brown; her sister, Hazel Hinds, her children, Ronald Brown (Ann), Martha King (John), Walter Brown (Joyce), Lynn Sanders (Leonard), Tracy Brown (Pam) and Terry Hinds (Lori); Fourteen grandchildren, Thirty great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Julie Williams, her sisters, Lois Gray, Nell Cates, Helen Barnard and Joyce King; and her brothers, James Williams and Jack Williams.

Pallbearers are Dale Letson, Randy Letson, Austin Hinds, Jacob Hinds, Bryan Letson and Jason Letson.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Jones, James Young, David Long and MC Russell.
